Art Walk: 5 – 8PM, Auction: 6:30 PM in the cafe courtyard

This month’s Art Walk at the Aurora includes a  fundraiser for Casa de los Angeles,  the San Miguel non-profit organization  which provides childcare and other support to working Mexican women.  Last year’s auction raised more than 30,000 pesos with artists such as Peter Leventhal and Juan Ezcurdia, amongt other stars in the local art scene by customising rocking chairs. This year the theme is rocking horses and trunks, individually offered for auction.

Also, as part of the Art Walk, be sure to check out the Official Re-Opening of the Generator Gallery featuring  Lulu Torbet’s series of large photographs of Candelaria and of the nets and meshes (she refers to them as shrouds) that protect the plants and flowers in the nurseries.
