This emerging artist, recently transplanted from Brooklyn, New York has found heersef in transition, moving away from video and performance art and back to her drawing table where she is exploring one particular subject: a horseheaded woman as well as three conceptual themes:  transference, simulacrum, and the hyperreal.

    Abrazos: Living Textiles of Mexico Event

    Patrice Wynne, and Abrazos will be hosting, Sheri Brautigam, from Oaxaca in her talk on Living Textiles of Mexico, on Thursday, March 25th.  Stop by to pick up your $60 peso ticket  directly at Abrazos on Zacateros, 74.  The event is likely to sell out so advance purchase is strongly recommended.   Its a great excuse to peruse the lovely new items at Abrazos, including lovely journals decorated in natural materials such as corn, cafe and semillas, and many other new creations from Mexico City designers, besides their own living textile aprons in a variety of new patterns and styles for spring!  Abrazos!



    San Kyu (Thank You) Art Exhibition

    March 20 through the 10 of April in the Biblioteca Publica Patio the Thank You Exhibition organized by Akiko Yasuda will be on show.  The opening will be March 20th from Noon to 1:30 pm. Two community driven collages have been made with the spirit of SanKyu, Thank You, Gracias. . .
