Have been to San Miguel (SMA} every year since for 10 years. It is the most perfect place to go. VERY EXPENSIVE. Read Linda Ellerbee’s ‘Take Big Bites’ to really find out about SMA. It is perfect. I drive down from Houston and it takes 2 days and I am a paraplegic. Go. There is a saying “People go to Flordia to die and to San Miguel to live”

do I need a passport? all the bus services I have located speak spanish only, and I only speak english.

Hello,

I’d very much like to travel to San Miguel Allende with my two daughters. However, not sure if this would be safe for 3 ladies traveling into Mexico.

Now, I also would like to know about the whole San Miguell Allende experience, cultural events, etc. I am planning to travel approx. late December.

I’m suggesting the hotel Quinto Loreto. It’s on Calle de Loreto No.15 I think they save a web site if you Google the hotel’s name and perhaps San Miguel. Their eMail address is hgloreto@cybermasta.com They’ll reserve a room on-line.

They also have plenty of parking spaces on the grounds if you’re bringing a car.

Anyway, they want around $450 pesos a night, for a room with TV, telephone, etc. They have a breakfast/lunch restaurant. They’re also next to the artizan’s market and a mega farmers’ mercado in San Miguel. Plus, it’s an easy walk to the center of town.

Hello,
I found out about San Miquel by chance. I believe I was drawn because of the name meaning…St. Michael. He is my Archangel. I would like to come and visit and who knows maybe stay for awhile.Any suggestions…I am young Italian 50 year old who may come alone or with my daughters.
