Accommodations: There are lovely places all over the town.
For longer stays, there are some listings on Craigslist under Mexico-guanajuato.

Visiting San Miguel in the winter is wonderful. And there is appealing warmth and sun during the daytime. It is a 6,000 ft. altitude and the architecture is not designed for wintertime weather (as it is in northern latitudes).
Visitors should take warm clothing.
In fact anywhere in Mexico may have chilly evenings in winter...I slept under my down coat in Zihuatenejo during December when we lived in a fishing cabin on the bay.

I'd like to travel to Valle de Allende on December.. Not sure if is a good time, and if the weather will be good to be out doors.... Any recommendation for that time of the year if I decide to go with my two girls.. We are planning a family vacation. Thanks

Have always wanted to visit. Wish to travel there with my husband, daughter and her family of three well behaved boys and husband. A garden would be very helpful for the boys' energy, they love gardens and the outdoors. Also require internet, and while we love to eat out, we also love to shop in open markets and create magic with our finds.

am a collage and assemblage artist (of sorts) study at the Boca Raton Museum of Art and would like very much to study in San Miguel this summer for a month. I have a 15 lb. well behaved Schnoodle and will be taking him with me. Can you please suggest a course for me to pursue. Thanks. Helene
